Position Overview
- Our client, a reputable hotel in Maua, Meru County, is seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to support its financial operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements within the hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Prepare financial reports, including monthly and periodic statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and daily revenue collections.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and tax obligations.
- Support budget preparation and financial planning.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- CPA-K qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
