Role Overview
This role is the backbone of the organization’s audiovisual and multimedia operations, ensuring that every live, hybrid, and virtual event runs flawlessly for a broad internal audience. Day to day, you will install and maintain cameras, audio systems, lighting, projectors, digital signage, and IPTV equipment, while also planning and delivering complex productions such as town halls, webinars, and internal broadcasts. Your work directly supports seamless communication and collaboration, making reliable technical leadership essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the organization’s multimedia, IPTV, and digital signage platforms, monitoring system health, resolving outages, and updating technical documentation such as connectivity diagrams and system layouts.
- Plan and execute live, hybrid, and virtual events from initial requirement gathering through final technical delivery, including system testing, scheduling, on-site operation, and support for multiple simultaneous meetings.
- Install, configure, and integrate new audiovisual systems in conference rooms and shared spaces, working with cabling, network infrastructure, video conferencing codecs, and related components.
- Provide expert advice on equipment purchases and lifecycle planning, evaluating vendor proposals, defining technical specifications, and recommending cost-effective, compatible solutions to leadership.
- Create and manage visual and multimedia content for internal audiences, including video productions, digital signage channels, podcasts, and training materials used in employee communications and recognition events.
- Support virtual collaboration platforms by configuring meeting environments, assisting users with connection issues, and ensuring high-quality audio and video for remote participants.
- Develop troubleshooting guides, knowledge base articles, and technical records, and cross-train colleagues to maintain coverage during absences and to standardize support procedures.
- Contribute to broader technology projects by tracking milestones, timelines, budgets, and progress updates, and by identifying opportunities to improve processes through new or refined AV tools.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in audiovisual production, multimedia, communications, audio engineering, information technology, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience in AV engineering, multimedia production, or technical event support, with demonstrated ability to independently manage equipment and troubleshoot under pressure.
- Strong working knowledge of professional audio mixers, microphones, video cameras, lighting instruments, projectors, interactive displays, and digital signage systems.
- Familiarity with IP networking fundamentals and how they relate to AV-over-IP, IPTV streaming, and video conferencing platforms.
- Proven capability to document system architectures, create user-friendly guides, and train others on AV and collaboration tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail when coordinating multiple events and competing priorities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position.
