Job Description

Job Title: Community Oral Health Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Community Oral Health Officer to join our dental unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality preventive and basic curative dental services while promoting oral health education and maintaining strict infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct oral health assessments and examinations to identify patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide preventive and basic curative dental services, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions.
  • Assist in dental procedures and patient management to ensure smooth clinic operations and positive patient experiences.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care, promoting long-term health and awareness.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and infection prevention procedures are followed at all times.
  • Support the implementation of quality and safety standards within the dental unit.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
  • Registration and a valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
  • At least two years of relevant work experience will be an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
