Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer with at least 5 years of proven experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) quantity surveying. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, contract administration, valuation of works, variation management, and cost control throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MEP works.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for MEP services.
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports.
- Evaluate and process variations, claims, and change orders.
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor payment applications.
- Assist in procurement and contract administration activities.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with project budgets and contractual requirements.
- Maintain records of project costs, variations, and financial reports.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor or MEP QS Engineer.
- Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- GCC/UAE experience is preferred (if applicable).
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
- Familiarity with FIDIC and standard forms of contracts.
- Experience with BOQ preparation and contract management.
