Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Drive market and business development to meet annual business targets across East and the Horn of Africa among other key markets.
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives and facilitate continuous business development efforts.
- Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities, partnerships and contracts.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients; NGOs, INGOs, multilateral organizations, governments, government agencies and other stakeholders.
- Support preparation and delivery of technical proposals, presentations and bids to prospective clients.
- Lead negotiations and support contract management processes.
- Coordinate with technical and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Monitor business performance and prepare periodic reports on sales, partnerships, and market activities.
- Support in project implementation, monitoring and reporting.
- Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, networking events and business forums.
- Mentor and support business development staff within the region.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, Business Development, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, International Business, or a relevant field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
- Professional certification in Business Development, Strategic Management, Project Management, or Sales Management is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, sales, marketing and/or strategic partnerships in a consulting environment.
- Experience working as a consultant will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated success in business growth, client acquisition and revenue generation.
