Description:

United Developers Contracting is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in the construction or contracting sector who can effectively manage financial operations while supporting project-based accounting activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring project costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting financial reporting processes. The position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, cost control practices, and the financial requirements of project-driven organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records

• Record and monitor financial transactions and accounting entries

• Manage project-based cost tracking and expense allocation activities

• Reconcile supplier, subcontractor, and client accounts

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes

• Ensure VAT compliance and adherence to UAE financial regulations

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring

• Prepare financial data and reports to support management decision-making

• Maintain organized accounting documentation and audit-ready records

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience

• Previous experience within the construction or contracting industry preferred

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and accounting software

• Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
