Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, technically skilled IT Administrator Assistant to anchor our operational technology infrastructure and business software ecosystem. Your primary objective is to guarantee seamless day-to-day operations across our enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, supply chain networks, inventory systems, and corporate communication channels. This position bridges reactive end-user troubleshooting with proactive network engineering; you will steer systems from basic workstation deployments and security patch installations through to network switch diagnostics and system-wide data backups. The role demands an agile, detail-oriented analyst who understands the flow of distribution logistics and can comfortably maintain peak infrastructure uptime.
Areas of Accountability
Technical Support & End-User Assistance

Provide rapid, first-level diagnostic support to staff members experiencing workstation, software application, printer, or peripheral hardware malfunctions.

Assemble, configure, and maintain corporate desktops, business laptops, thermal scanners, and field-level mobile data devices.

Guide internal staff through ERP transactions, localized accounting modules, inventory tracking bugs, and corporate email configurations.

Log, monitor, and update the departmental IT ticket ledger, formatting complex system crashes for swift senior administrator escalation.

Assist in maintaining the technical integrity, content updates, and server connectivity of corporate websites and digital business channels.
Infrastructure Management & Network Supervision

Monitor local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) links, proactively resolving connectivity drops alongside internet service providers.

Support the installation, routing, and physical mapping of structured office cabling, distribution switches, and wireless access points.

Supervise the hardware maintenance, storage capacities, and operational integrity of backup CCTV loops and biometric access control modules.

Maintain enterprise communication suites, user directory trees, and corporate mailbox permission structures.
ERP Integration & Business Systems Auditing

Execute first-line support for specialized ERP systems, warehouse tracking sheets, and supply chain inventory data pipelines.

Collaborate with distribution departments to investigate and resolve system transactional errors, data entry bottlenecks, and inventory mismatch loops.

Generate routine system performance records, server logs, and operational data analytics for executive planning runs.

Participate actively in software testing cycles, feature installations, and cross-departmental business process automation initiatives.
Data Security, Compliance & Asset Tracking

Deploy, test, and update endpoint protection software, central firewalls, and active anti-malware tools across the entire network.

Enforce corporate cybersecurity standards, monitoring user groups for unauthorized configuration modifications or anomalous data traffic.

Conduct regular system backup procedures, validating the file structure and accessibility of offsite disaster recovery storage points.

Document a comprehensive inventory of physical IT assets, software licenses, lifecycle warranties, and infrastructure wiring diagrams.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum Entry Criteria

Academic Foundation: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

Professional Longevity: Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in IT helpdesk support or systems administration. (Explicit preference will be given to candidates with exposure to FMCG, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution environments).

Technical Frameworks: Practical familiarity with modern ERP software, Windows server environments, active directories, and local networking protocols.
Technical Buffers (Added Advantage)

Industry-standard technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certifications, or Cisco CCNA tracks.

Practical experience managing database backends, supporting web platforms, or administering basic social media business tools.
