Position Title: Sales & Marketing Executive

Direct Line Reporting: General Manager

Industry Sector: Hospitality

Gross Salary Structure: Kshs. 60,000 per month + 10% commission

Location: Shanzu, Mombasa

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic, commercially driven Sales & Marketing Executive to maximize the commercial footprint of our leading hospitality establishment. Your primary mandate is to aggressively drive revenue growth across our food, beverage, accommodation, and conference segments. This position blends modern digital marketing campaigns with proactive corporate networking; you will steer accounts from initial consultations and venue tours through to finalized group bookings and large-scale corporate functions. The role demands a creative hunter who understands the hospitality market structure and can seamlessly design innovative experiences that attract continuous foot traffic and high-value event partnerships.

Areas of Accountability

Revenue Acceleration & Partnership Development

  • Formulate and execute targeted commercial strategies aimed at expanding corporate partnerships, group bookings, and leisure accounts.

  • Pitch, secure, and lock in high-volume enterprise bookings for our dedicated conference halls and modern event facilities.

  • Systematically identify, qualify, and convert new corporate prospects across coastal and national commercial channels.

  • Represent the establishment authoritatively at hospitality networking events, local trade expos, and business development functions.

Experiential Design & Digital Promotion

  • Conceptualize and launch unique themed nights, corporate functions, weekend activations, and social gatherings to optimize venue utilization.

  • Plan, launch, and monitor high-impact digital marketing initiatives across primary social networks and digital advertising streams.

  • Analyze shifting hospitality trends and competitor packages to position our culinary, event, and conference portfolios competitively.

Relationship Management & Performance Analytics

  • Cultivate and insulate stable, long-term partnerships with destination planners, corporate administrative heads, and institutional buyers.

  • Coordinate closely with the culinary and banquet execution teams to ensure client event itineraries match exact booking expectations.

  • Track individual sales funnels, document client feedback, and present structured weekly performance logs against agreed revenue quotas.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

  • Academic Foundation: Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a complementary commercial discipline.

  • Industry Track Record: At least three (3) years of progressive sales and marketing experience with a verifiable performance history strictly within the hospitality or service industry.

  • Digital Toolkit: Highly conversant with modern digital marketing suites, social media placement engines, and online client tracking applications.

Professional Capabilities

  • Creative Innovation: Proven ability to build events from scratch, structure complex commercial contracts, and manage pricing friction with corporate buyers.

  • Autonomous Drive: Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently to hit challenging volume quotas under a performance-based framework.

  • Communication Mastery: Polished, persuasive boardroom presentation and negotiation skills tailored for senior institutional stakeholders.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Base Emoluments: Competitive baseline salary of Kshs. 60,000 per month.

  • Culinary Incentives: Rewarding 10% commission structure calculated on all monthly food sales directly generated.

  • Conference Bonuses: Additional 5% commission tier on meetings and conference sales achieved upon surpassing the monthly team target of Kshs. 2.8 million.
