Description:
The Base Beverage LLC is seeking a passionate and innovative R&D Technologist to join its growing team in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals who are enthusiastic about beverage innovation and product development, with the ability to transform ideas into commercially successful products.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new beverage formulations, improving existing products, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the R&D Technologist will support innovation initiatives, optimize product performance, and contribute to the company’s continued growth within the food and beverage sector.
Candidates with UAE experience and a strong understanding of food manufacturing standards will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance beverage products from concept through commercialization
• Conduct formulation trials, product testing, and stability studies
• Perform sensory evaluations and analyze product performance
• Prepare product specifications, technical documentation, and development reports
• Ensure compliance with UAE food regulations and quality standards
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Sales teams
• Support product innovation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor industry trends and recommend new product opportunities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related field
• Experience in food and beverage product development preferred
• Knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Arabic
• UAE experience is an advantage
• Preferably holding own visa
• Strong knowledge of:
• HACCP
• ISO 22000
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Food Product Development Processes
• UAE Food Regulations and Quality Standards
