Description:
Orion Contracting Company LLC is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to become part of its Project Control Department in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This role is suitable for professionals who have strong experience in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and construction project cost control within the contracting industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing project documentation, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the project team in managing financial aspects of construction projects. This role requires close collaboration with multiple departments to ensure project costs are properly analyzed and controlled throughout the tendering and execution phases.

The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on multi-disciplinary construction projects while contributing to efficient project cost management and procurement planning.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze tender documents, including project drawings, technical specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQs) to identify potential cost risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and develop accurate cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects
• Coordinate closely with design, procurement, and planning teams to gather necessary information and ensure accurate cost analysis
• Maintain and update cost databases and pricing records to support future project estimations
• Assist in post-tender evaluations and negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors when required

Qualifications & Experience – Essential:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor working with main contractors or major construction projects
• Hands-on experience using QS and cost management software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Planswift, Candy, CostX, or similar tools
• Strong knowledge of UAE market rates, subcontractor pricing, and construction material costs
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and commercial evaluation skills
• Strong English communication and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• RICS accreditation will be considered an advantage
• Arabic language skills are beneficial but not mandatory
• Previous UAE or GCC project experience
• Candidates who can join immediately will be given preference
