Key Performance Areas
- Fitting and assembling mechanical components, parts, and machinery according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical equipment, including troubleshooting and identifying faulty parts.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving mechanical issues and malfunctions.
- Using hand and power tools to shape and modify metal parts, involving cutting, grinding, and welding.
- Using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of parts.
- Following safety procedures and regulations when working with machinery and tools.
- Working with engineers, technicians, and tradespeople to ensure efficient operations.
- Keeping records of maintenance, repairs, and other relevant information.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum academic qualification: Trade Test Grade 3 from a NITA accredited instituion.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the steel or manufacturing industry will be an added advantage
