Job Description
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years total clinical nursing experience
- 3+ years in a senior covering / acting matron or equivalent role
- Valid Nursing Council license required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assume full Matron-level authority over the hospital during off-hours
- Lead and supervise nursing staff across all wards and departments
- Oversee patient safety, ward rounds, and clinical decision-making
- Manage emergencies, incidents, and escalation protocols
- Liaise with on-call doctors, department heads, and senior management
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and handover documentation
