Minimum Requirements (Likely)

Applicants should:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related fields.

  • Have prior experience in software engineering, systems reliability, or IT support.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

  • Be familiar with cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, billing systems, and financial services IT.

  • Show professionalism, integrity, and alignment with Safaricom’s mission of delivering converged communication solutions and uplifting communities.

  • Specialist roles (SRE Engineers, Backend Engineers) require technical expertise in coding, system reliability, and automation.

  • Support roles (Financial Services IT Engineer) require practical knowledge of fintech systems and customer support.
