Description:
Dicetek LLC is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator specializing in cloud platforms to join its technology team in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on managing and optimizing cloud-based database systems to ensure strong performance, high availability, and secure operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining reliable database environments, supporting business applications, and ensuring the integrity and security of critical data systems. This role is ideal for professionals with solid experience managing cloud-hosted databases and implementing best practices for database performance, recovery, and automation. Candidates who are currently based in the UAE and available within a 30-day notice period will be preferred.

Role Purpose:
Design, manage, and optimize cloud-hosted database platforms to ensure consistent availability, strong performance, data security, and reliable disaster recovery capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and administer cloud database platforms, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery configurations to ensure business continuity.
• Monitor database performance and conduct tuning activities to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
• Perform capacity planning to ensure database environments support growing workloads.
• Implement database security measures such as access control, encryption, and auditing.
• Automate routine database operations where possible and maintain clear operational documentation.
• Provide support during production incidents and perform root cause analysis related to database services.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases in cloud-based environments.
• Proven expertise in backup and recovery processes, high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR), and database performance tuning.
• Practical experience with automation and scripting tools used for database administration tasks.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving database-related issues.
