Description:

A well-established and rapidly expanding organization in Dubai is currently looking for a capable Assistant Financial Controller to support its finance operations. This role is suitable for professionals who have solid experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial management within the GCC region. The position involves working closely with senior finance leadership while ensuring financial records, reporting processes, and operational controls are maintained accurately.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the finance department with reporting, reconciliations, and compliance tasks. In addition, the role requires supervising finance team activities and assisting management with financial analysis and operational improvements. Candidates who are detail-oriented, experienced with accounting systems, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment will be well suited for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead month-end and year-end financial closing processes across multiple company entities.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements while ensuring reports are completed by the 12th of each month.
• Close Sales and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accounts by the 4th working day of each month.
• Monitor general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate account schedules.
• Ensure compliance with VAT and Corporate Tax regulations and manage timely submissions of required filings.
• Supervise members of the finance team and provide operational support during staff absences.
• Review payment vouchers, financial documents, and customer refund requests for accuracy.
• Prepare regular cash flow reports to support financial planning and monitoring.
• Contribute to strengthening internal controls and improving financial processes where needed.
• Work closely with the Finance Director on reporting, financial analysis, and performance reviews.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CA or ACCA is required.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience within the GCC region.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Dynamics, SAGE, and other ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills with English as a mandatory requirement.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong leadership and organizational skills.
