The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and growing business from both existing and new customers, using all available tools and channels, with the objective of meeting and exceeding predefined sales targets set by Management.
Role Accountabilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, prospecting, and client engagement.
- Drive sales of company products and services through solution-based selling.
- Follow up on all quotations and client requests to ensure timely business conversion.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales turnover targets.
- Ensure zero unresolved client queries and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular client visits to build, manage, and retain strong customer relationships.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement, new products, and profitability growth.
- Monitor industry trends, market activity, and competitor movements.
- Prepare accurate sales and business development reports.
- Maintain high service standards in line with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ Sales and Marketing experience in a Transport & Logistics organization.
- Proven experience in Business Development or Account Management.
- Existing and active client portfolio is mandatory.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
