Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth legal research on statutes, regulations, case law, and precedents to support litigation and advisory work.
- Analyze legal issues and provide research-based insights to support case strategy and decision-making.
Document Drafting & Review
- Draft, review, and edit legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, contracts, and legal briefs.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with applicable laws and procedural rules.
Case Preparation & Trial Support
- Prepare cases for hearings and trials, including organizing evidence, exhibits, witness materials, and case files.
- Support trial proceedings and court attendances as required.
Client Engagement & Communication
- Liaise with clients to gather instructions, provide timely updates, and respond to inquiries professionally.
- Maintain clear, consistent, and confidential communication with clients and stakeholders.
Legal Strategy & Advisory Support
- Assist in developing litigation strategies by interpreting laws, regulations, and judicial decisions.
- Provide input on risk assessment and dispute resolution approaches.
- Regulatory & Ethical Compliance
- Stay up to date with developments in laws, regulations, and court decisions relevant to litigation practice.
- Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in all legal and client engagements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
- Relevant 2-3 years experience in litigation practice.
- Strong research, drafting, and courtroom preparation skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical awareness.
Salary: Ksh. 100,000
