Job Description
Job Purpose.
Lead, optimize, and automate reconciliation processes across the bank to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and operational resilience. Manage the reconciliation system, resolve exceptions, and drive digital transformation to minimize risk, enhance financial integrity, and standardize practices across regions through effective stakeholder collaboration and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Reconciliation Process Automation & Digitization
- Develop and implement automation strategies using advanced tools (Power BI, SQL, Power Query, VBA, RPA solutions, Python, Artificial Intelligence)
- Lead initiatives to digitize manual reconciliation processes for scalability and efficiency.
- Champion emerging technologies to enhance reconciliation accuracy and turnaround times
Reconciliation Governance & Oversight
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned reconciliations across
- Establish robust exception management frameworks to minimize unresolved items.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Technology & System Management
- Oversee reconciliation system performance, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with vendors for enhancements.
- Drive system upgrades and integration with digital platforms for seamless operations.
- Ensure data integrity and security within reconciliation systems.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage and mentor multi-country reconciliation teams; set KPIs and conduct performance reviews.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, ICT, Risk, and Audit teams to align reconciliation strategies with business objectives.
- Build strong vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Deliver advanced analytics and dashboards using Power BI for strategic decision-making.
- Provide insights on cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
- Prepare monthly MIS and executive reports highlighting trends and risk indicators.
Risk Management & Business Continuity
- Identify and mitigate operational risks related to reconciliation processes.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted operations during system downtimes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Information Technology, bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Preferred: Professional certifications Business Analytics, RPA or Data Analytics certifications.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in banking/financial operations with at least 5 years in managerial roles focusing on automation, digitization, and reconciliation governance.
