Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead overall business operations, drive strategic growth, and ensure strong commercial performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive FMCG and general management experience, with a proven ability to transform and scale business operations nationwide

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversee day-to-day business operations.
  • Drive growth initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and ensure profitability.
  • Lead expansion of product categories and distribution networks across the country.
  • Build and guide high-performing teams to achieve company goals.
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets, and overall business health.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in FMCG, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record in transforming and scaling FMCG businesses, including launching new product categories and expanding distribution networks nationwide.
  • Experience in digital transformation, e-commerce, and leveraging technology for business growth.
  • Deep understanding of Kenyan market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership in change management, with the ability to inspire and drive teams through periods of rapid growth and transformation.
  • Age 40-45 Years
