Description: Who We Are An autonomous road agency, responsible for the management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of international trunk roads linking centres of international importance and crossing international boundaries or terminating at international ports (Class A road), national trunk roads linking internationally important centres (Class B roads), and primarily roads linking provicially important centres to each other or two higher-classroads (Class C roads). Our Mission To construct and manage national trunk roads that enhance socio-economic growth and prosperity. Our Mandate To Manage, develop, rehabilitate and maintain national roads. Our Core Functions Constructing, upgrading, rehabilitating and maintaining roads Class A, B, C roads. Implementing road policies in relation to national roads. Ensuring adherence to the rules and guidelines on axle load control prescribed under the traffic act and any regulations under this act. Ensuring that the quality of roads works is in accordance with such standards as may be defined by the minister. Collecting and collating all such data related to the use of national roads as may be necessary for efficient forward planning under this act.
Job Description

Job Vacancies – Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA)

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007. KeNHA is mandated to manage, develop, rehabilitate, and maintain national trunk roads across Kenya.

The Authority invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyan citizens to fill the following positions on Permanent and Pensionable terms.

Available Positions

1. Engineer (Roads) – Grade 7

Posts: 27

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, design, construction, and maintenance of national trunk roads

  • Supervision of road projects and contractors

  • Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations

2. Information Communication Technology (ICT) Officer II – Grade 8

Posts: 2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting ICT systems and infrastructure

  • Providing user support and system maintenance

  • Ensuring data security and system efficiency

3. Human Resource Management Officer II – Grade 8

Posts: 1

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting HR operations including recruitment and records management

  • Implementing HR policies and procedures

  • Assisting in employee performance and welfare management

4. Driver III – Grade 11

Posts: 10

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving and maintaining assigned vehicles

  • Ensuring safety and proper vehicle documentation

  • Supporting official transport requirements

5. Office Assistant I – Grade 10

Posts: 1

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Office support services including filing and document handling

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of office spaces

  • Assisting administrative staff as required
