Job Description
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Periodically visit retail outlets, wholesalers, supermarkets and other customer locations within designated regions to increase sales prospects, comprehend customer needs and offer customized product solutions.
- Effectively plan and organize sales visits to optimize coverage of assigned locations.
- Determine the territory’s market categories and potential customers.
- Collaborate with customer service, supply chain management and marketing departments to coordinate sales activities with product accessibility, marketing campaigns and customer support.
- Maintain thorough records of orders, customer contacts and sales activities.
- Prepare daily and weekly sales reports to inform managers of developments, obstacles and opportunities.
- Negotiate with customers about prices, terms and conditions to obtain sales agreements that are beneficial to both the customer and the business.
- Serve as a brand ambassador by educating customers about the features, advantages and applications of the product by giving product demonstrations.
- Gather and present market data analytics such as prices, competitor activities and customer feedback.
- Abide to the company’s policies and ethical standards as well as maintain a high level of professionalism and presentation.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience in sales; preferably in FMCG products.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Adaptability and great ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and knowledge of sales reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
