Minimum Requirements (Likely)

Applicants should:

  • Hold a relevant degree in Law, Human Rights, Social Sciences, Public Policy, International Relations, Development Studies, or related field.

  • A postgraduate qualification in Human Rights, Governance, Public Policy, or a related discipline will be an added advantage, especially for Deputy Director roles.

  • Have progressive work experience in:

    • Human rights programming, policy advocacy, and management of socio-economic rights portfolios for Deputy Director – ECOSOC and Senior ECOSOC Officer.

    • Research, monitoring and evaluation, legal and policy analysis, and compliance work for Deputy Director – Research and Compliance.

    • Public education, training, capacity building, community outreach, or civic education for the Public Education and Training Officer.

  • Demonstrate sound understanding of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, human rights principles, and national, regional, and international human rights frameworks.

  • Possess strong leadership, coordination, report-writing, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Have experience working with government institutions, CSOs, development partners, or human rights organizations (an added advantage).

  • Show high levels of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to promoting and protecting human rights.
