Marketing Assistant

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Salary: Kshs. 50,000 - Kshs. 100,000

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Schedule: 9AM – 6PM with 1 hour break Eastern Standard Time zone (EST)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to support our marketing team in executing campaigns, managing digital content, and coordinating promotional activities. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and eager to contribute to projects that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/ questionnaires.
  • Work closely with the sales and business development teams to coordinate and align marketing efforts.
  • Manage social media platforms and engage with our online community.
  • Prepare and deliver promotional presentations.
  • Support the marketing team in organizing various projects and events.
  • Engage with clients and customers to gain feedback and insights.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Development, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a marketing support, coordinator, or assistant role
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience in paid ads management (Google Ads/Facebook Ads)
  • Knowledge of SEO and content optimization
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills

Technical Requirements:

  • USB Headset with Noise Cancellation feature
  • Working Webcam
  • Computer with at least 1.8 GHz processor and 4GB RAM (minimum)
  • Main Internet Service Speed: at least 25 Mbps (cable connection preferred)
  • Backup Internet Service Speed: at least 10 Mbps
