Job Description
  • We are looking for a skilled Billing Manager to oversee and manage all hospital billing operationsThis role ensures timely, accurate invoicing, efficient claims processing, and strong revenue performance across the facility

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee end-to-end patient billing and insurance claim workflows
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of NHIF and private insurance claims
  • Supervise, guide, and support the billing team to meet revenue targets
  • Verify billing information from clinical departments for completeness and accuracy
  • Follow up on pending claims and resolve rejections with insurers
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with finance, customer service, and clinical teams to improve billing processes
  • Prepare and submit monthly billing and collection reports

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field
  • CPA or equivalent (added advantage)
  • Certification in Medical Billing, Coding, HIM, or Revenue Cycle Management is an advantage
  • 3-5 years' experience in hospital billing
  • Strong understanding of NHIF and private insurance processes
  • Experience working with hospital information systems

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and claim protocols
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, billing software, and hospital management systems
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Leadership skills with experience supervising teams
