Job Overview
We seek a full-cycle Business Development Manager to own the entire sales motion—from prospecting to closing deals. You’ll build and manage a U.S. client pipeline, working with senior leadership to convert demand into successful placements. The role is KPI-driven with clear expectations for prospecting, qualified pipeline creation, meetings, proposals, and annual placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to enhance the growth of Talanta Institute.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of strategies and objectives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and stakeholders.
- Track and report on business development activities and results.
1. Prospect & Build Pipeline
- Identify and prioritize U.S. startups/SMBs and develop multi-threaded relationships with founders, CEOs, and business leaders.
- Run outbound email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach; use social selling to generate leads.
- Source opportunities via industry lists, partnerships, associations, job boards, and referrals.
- Maintain a segmented database in Zoho CRM.
2. Discovery & Solutioning
- Lead needs assessments and advise on role requirements, staffing volumes, and SLAs.
- Design tailored staffing solutions, pricing, compliance, hybrid-office access, and onboarding plans.
- Align candidate pipelines with Recruitment.
3. Sales Execution
- Deliver persuasive first calls, presentations, and demos.
- Draft proposals/SOWs/SLAs and manage contract redlines with the senior team.
- Accurately forecast deals and maintain CRM opportunities with next steps.
4. Placement & Handover
- Coordinate interviews, manage feedback loops, and oversee offer processes.
- Conduct structured handoffs and support post-sale expansion opportunities.
5. Process & CRM
- Keep CRM records complete and accurate, using standardized playbooks and sequences.
- Track funnel metrics and report weekly on activity, pipeline health, forecasts, and risks.
Performance Metrics
- Daily multi-channel sales touchpoints logged in CRM.
- Consistent qualified meetings and discovery calls.
- Healthy, diversified pipeline with disciplined stage progression.
- Timely proposals and high conversion rates.
- Accurate CRM data and on-time reporting.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
