Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven School Administrative Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient administrative operations within the school, contributing to a supportive learning environment and excellent service delivery.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administrative functions, including communication, admissions, and public relations. Support budgeting and financial operations, ensuring proper expenditure control and timely reporting. Lead procurement processes and manage school inventory, assets, and utilities.
  • Supervise transport and logistics, including fleet management, vehicle servicing, and insurance renewals. Implement and monitor safety, security, and health protocols in compliance with legal requirements. Support human resource functions, including recruitment coordination, on-boarding, performance reviews, leave management, and staff welfare.
  • Prepare and present regular administrative and financial reports and maintain accurate filing systems. Coordinate staff training, team-building activities, and internal communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (accounting knowledge is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in a busy environment, preferably within a non- governmental organization or educational institution.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong report-writing and documentation skills.
  • Must possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct, NSSF, NHIF, and KRA PIN.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement, budgeting, asset management, and fleet operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, creative, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must be a born-again Christian actively involved in church activities.

  • Adaptable and flexible, with a willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili, verbal and written.
