DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Generation and Client Acquisition
- Proactively identify and approach potential HORECA clients such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, catering companies, and bars.
- Conduct cold calls, visits, and networking to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Utilize market intelligence to target high-potential prospects.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
- Regularly visit clients to understand their needs, gather feedback, and provide tailored product solutions.
- Resolve client complaints and issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Sales Target Achievement
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets consistently.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities to maximize productivity.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to improve results.
Product Promotion and Visibility
- Ensure FMCG products are properly displayed and stocked in client outlets.
- Coordinate with merchandising teams to organize product demonstrations, tastings, or promotional events at client locations.
- Educate clients on new products, features, and benefits to drive product adoption.
Negotiation and Deal Closure
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure favorable agreements for both the company and clients.
- Prepare and present sales proposals and contracts.
- Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis
- Continuously monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends within the HORECA sector.
- Gather market intelligence and report opportunities and threats to management.
- Suggest product or strategy improvements based on customer feedback and competitor insights.
Sales Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and transactions using CRM or other sales tools.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the Sales Manager.
- Document feedback and client concerns for continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns and brand-building activities.
- Coordinate with the logistics and distribution teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales within the HORECA sector and FMCG industry.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close sales, and maintain client relationships.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good knowledge of the Nairobi market and HORECA landscape will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is a plus.
Salary: Ksh. 30,000
