Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and analytical Cost Controller / Factory Accountant to manage financial operations and cost control activities at our vegetable oil extraction plant in Bonje. The role will focus on providing accurate financial analysis, maintaining robust cost accounting systems, and supporting management with insights to drive efficiency, compliance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and analysis of plant financial reports, including monthly P&L, balance sheets, and variance analysis.
- Manage operating budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement effective budgetary controls.
- Analyze product costs, production variances, and operational efficiency to support decision-making.
- Supervise inventory management processes, including physical counts, reconciliations, and valuation.
- Partner with operations management to ensure cost-effective production and accurate cost allocation.
- Maintain and update accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Prepare and present regular manufacturing performance reports to management.
- Conduct internal audits on inventory, expenses, and financial processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.
- Utilize ERP systems and Excel to track, analyze, and report financial data effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing cost accounting or factory finance.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and material resource planning (MRP).
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and link operational activities to financial outcomes.
- Excellent Excel proficiency and solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cost drivers.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Additional training in HSE or auditing is an advantage.
