Job Description
The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for our school, providing administrative support across the organization. This role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming and efficient front desk environment for students, parents, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Manage and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable.
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
- Assist with various administrative tasks including copying, filing, and data entry.
- Coordinate with school staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Administration, Secretarial Studies, or related field.
- Proven work experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Customer service attitude.
Personal Qualities
- Have excellent literacy skills and a sound command of written English
- Have experience of working in an administrative and /or customer facing role, preferably in a school setting
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Fully conversant with all aspects of data protection
