Job Description
- Our client, Living on the Edge exists to help pastors lead thriving, disciple-making churches. Their mission is to shape the hearts of pastors so they can lead healthy, multiplying congregations that transform their communities. They are seeking to hire an Operations Manager, who must be a purpose-driven and highly organized professional who will translate vision into action by overseeing the financial, administrative and operational aspects of their ministry. This role ensures their programs run efficiently, sustainably and with excellence. The Operations Manager will provide direct leadership for the Barnabas Program and serve as a vital link to the USA operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Africa Director in strategy execution and operational planning.
- Oversee financial operations — budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
- Lead administrative and operational functions, ensuring efficiency and accountability.
- Manage MOUs, partner relations, data collection, and reporting for ministry programs.
- Coordinate logistics for events and training sessions across Africa.
- Liaise with the USA office for reporting, translation, and production of materials.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement across teams.
- Travel occasionally within Africa and up to three times a year to the USA for leadership meetings.
Required Specifications:
- A deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with Living on the Edge’s statement of faith.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s in Business, Project, or Operations Management preferred).
- 5–7 years’ experience in operations or project management, preferably in ministry or non-profit settings.
- Proven experience managing budgets, systems, and teams.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suites, and project management tools.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
