Job Description

JOB LOCATION: LAVINGTON (WITH TRAVEL TO OTHER BRANCHES)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Excellence & Efficiency

  • Oversee the daily operational activities of the hospital and affiliated branches to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement systems to improve allocational efficiency in the use of physical, human, and financial resources.
  • Analyze workflow processes and implement continuous improvements for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Champion the use of technology and data in streamlining hospital operations and enhancing patient services.

Service Coverage & Patient Access

  • Identify gaps in service delivery and work with clinical and administrative teams to expand access and reach.
  • Ensure that the hospitals’ services are aligned with patient needs and community demand.
  • Enhance the hospital's service portfolio in collaboration with department heads to meet growing healthcare needs.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Work with finance and department heads to develop, monitor, and manage operational budgets.
  • Ensure that all resources (staff, equipment, facilities) are used cost-effectively while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth through operational efficiencies and innovative service delivery models.
  • Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to cost, productivity, and profitability.

Quality, Compliance & Patient Outcomes

  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and administrative departments to align operational structures with improved patient outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, legal, and accreditation standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery through audits, reviews, and performance tracking.

Customer Retention & Satisfaction

  • Foster a patient-centered culture through operational policies and practices that prioritize care and satisfaction.
  • Monitor patient feedback and implement improvement plans to ensure steady customer retention and service loyalty.
  • Ensure prompt response to patient and client concerns, working with relevant departments to resolve issues effectively.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of operational staff across multiple facilities.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and ensure that teams are aligned with strategic operational goals.
  • Promote a high-performance culture, motivating staff to achieve excellence in service delivery.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity within a busy hospital or healthcare environment
  • Proven track record in managing multi-site operations, financial planning, and driving operational improvements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance standards, and patient care operations
  • Proficiency in hospital management systems and data-driven decision-making
Salary: Kshs. 250,000
