Reports To: Factory Operations Manager

About the Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead all quality and food safety operations at our manufacturing facility in Nakuru. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with ISO, HACCP and regulatory standards, champion continuous improvement, and guarantee that all our dairy products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain all Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, OHS, and EMS.
  • Lead audits, ensure process compliance, and implement corrective actions.
  • Approve finished goods for release and ensure all products meet internal and regulatory quality standards.
  • Supervise and mentor the Quality Assurance and Control teams, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
  • Custodian of food safety processes and procedures overseeing SOP review, development and implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and supply chain.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and lead corrective and preventive action efforts.
  • Oversee consumer complaint investigations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams i.e Production, Procurement, Sales, and Logistics to maintain consistency and excellence in product quality.
  • Prepare regular quality performance reports and share insights with management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technology, Food Science, or a related field; Diploma with strong experience acceptable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control leadership role within the dairy or food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, ISO standards, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience in lab management, auditing, and quality process optimization.
