Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the batching plant to produce concrete batches according to project requirements.
- Ensure that the plant is running smoothly, with a consistent supply of materials like cement, aggregates, water, and additives.
- Monitor the batching process, adjusting settings for the accurate measurement of ingredients.
- Ensure that all materials are available and in proper quantities for each batch.
- Verify the quality of the raw materials to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor the quality of the produced concrete, ensuring it meets the required consistency, workability, and strength.
- Conduct tests to ensure that concrete mixes meet quality standards.
- Report any irregularities or issues with the concrete mix or production process to supervisors and implement corrective actions.
- Report any mechanical problems or breakdowns to the maintenance team for immediate repairs to avoid production delays.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating the batching plant to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of each concrete batch, including quantities of materials used, batch times, and any deviations from the mix design.
Qualifications
- Plant Operator Certification and training in construction or machinery operation, concrete technology, or related fields.
- Knowledge of batch software or plant control systems.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in batching plant operations or concrete production.
- Occupational Health and Safety knowledge.
- Good communication skills.
