Non-Profit Organization Management
Description:
Hope to the Vulnerable Communities (HOVUC) Organization was formed in August 2017 in response to the post-election violence that adversely affected adolescent girls and women in Kisumu County, Kenya. The violence left many adolescent girls and women vulnerable to various forms of abuse, including sexual violence, and also limited their accessibility to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. HOVUC was formed to address these issues and promote the empowerment and well-being of adolescent girls and women in the community. HOVUC was officially registered as a CBO in September 2019, and since then, we have been working tirelessly to improve the wellness of adolescent girls and women in our community. We believe in a society where Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights are safeguarded, Economic Empowerment is prioritized, Climate Justice is upheld, and Governance and Accountability are integral to decision-making.
