Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Take care of company dogs by cleaning, feeding and monitoring their health
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Call Directors.
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary
- Conduct training exercises and drills with the dogs to maintain their readiness and responsiveness.
- Understand and implement commands to direct and control the dogs effectively
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, including potential breaches of security
- Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
- To carry out any other duties that may be assigned to you by the Managing Director from time to time.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role (security or dog handling)
- Security and/or dog handling training is an added advantage
- Must be physically fit and able to work in shifts
- Good observation, communication, and reporting skills
- Ability to remain calm and act efficiently in emergencies
- Integrity and strong work ethic are a must
Salary: Kshs. 20,000 - Kshs. 25, 000
