DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in accordance with standard recipes and production schedules.
Measure and mix ingredients using baking equipment and tools.
Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery machinery safely and efficiently.
Ensure consistency and quality in all baked products.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, tools, and equipment.
Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; notify supervisor when stock is low.
Assist in developing new recipes or seasonal baked products as required.
Package and label baked goods for display and sale.
Work closely with other kitchen or supermarket staff to ensure timely product availability.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Proven baking experience in a commercial kitchen or supermarket bakery (minimum 1 year preferred)
Knowledge of a wide range of baking techniques and recipes
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and production schedules with precision
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
Good communication and teamwork skills
Punctual, reliable, and able to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
