Spez Catering Limited is seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our culinary team. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the smooth running of catering operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in food preparation, strong organizational skills, and a passion for delivering excellent dining experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with company recipes and standards. Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet customer expectations.
Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen.
Manage kitchen stock, monitor food supplies, and minimize wastage.
Supervise and support kitchen assistants and other staff where necessary.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Assist in catering events, buffets, and special functions.
Report to the Head Chef/Catering Manager on kitchen operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or Food Production.
At least 2 years' proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
Strong cooking skills across a variety of cuisines.
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Creativity and passion for food presentation.
Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
Flexibility to work shifts.
