Role Responsibilities:
Manage and administer Windows/Linux servers, databases, and core applications.
Monitor and maintain the health of all core systems, servers and applications.
Respond to and resolve escalations during assigned shifts.
Support with network/system outages escalations to service providers and tracking of updates.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting service availability or performance.
Coordinate resolution efforts with internal software developers, network engineers, and external vendors.
Recommend and implement improvements to increase system performance, resilience, and efficiency.
Participate in the evaluation and rollout of new tools, systems, or upgrades.
Mentor and guide junior engineers in troubleshooting and best practices.
Academic Qualifications:
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Telecommunication, or related discipline.
Key Competencies required for the role:
Experience as a Senior and Network Administrator with at least 5 years experience.
At least 2-3 years experience in Software development preferably in PHP framework.
Linux / UNIX administration.
Database Administration (MySQL,SQLite, Postgres).
Experience in developing under the following languages and frameworks: PHP, Drupal, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Wordpress, Twig, REST and JSON.
Advanced networking (firewalls, routers, IP management).
