Job Description

Job Summary:

 

Our client is looking for a dynamic Sales Consultant to join their retail team at the Mombasa Branch. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sales, a passion for customer service, and the drive to perform in a fast-paced, retail environment. This role is customer-facing and requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Customer Service

 

Welcome customers in a professional and friendly manner.

 

Identify customer needs and provide tailored product recommendations.

 

Resolve customer queries, concerns, and returns promptly and effectively.

 

Sales Generation

 

Promote and sell ceramic products to meet personal and store sales targets.

 

Upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales value per transaction.

 

Product Knowledge

 

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all ceramic products and offerings.

 

Stay up to date with new arrivals, specifications, and applications.

 

Educate and guide customers to make informed purchase decisions.

 

Merchandising & Display

 

Ensure product displays are well-stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with store standards.

 

Assist with seasonal and promotional setups to enhance store aesthetics.

 

Stock Management

 

Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or fast-moving items.

 

Participate in regular stock counts and help minimize losses or damages.

 

Team Collaboration

 

Work effectively with team members to achieve store goals.

 

Provide support during peak hours, promotions, or team absences.

 

Attend staff meetings, sales briefings, and training sessions.

 

Compliance & Store Standards

 

Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.

 

Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in the store environment.

 

Follow security and safety protocols at all times.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a similar industry (tiles, ceramics, hardware, home improvement).

 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Excellent customer service skills with a solution-driven approach.

 

Ability to thrive in a busy, target-driven retail setting.

 

High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

 

A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor.
