Job Description

About the Client:

 

Our client in the hospitality industry is seeking a Bakery Supervisor to oversee and manage day-to-day operations at their bakery unit in Marigat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising production, ensuring quality and hygiene standards, managing inventory, and supporting staff development in line with company policies and goals.

 

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities.

 

Supervise and coordinate all bakery production processes, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

 

Oversee the preparation of a variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, cookies, pies, and pastries.

 

Lead recipe adherence and implement standard operating procedures to ensure product consistency.

 

Manage bakery staff schedules, assign duties, and provide hands-on training and support.

 

Monitor stock levels for ingredients and packaging materials; place timely orders within budget.

 

Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards (including HACCP).

 

Conduct regular equipment checks and ensure maintenance is scheduled as needed.

 

Work collaboratively with management to create and test new products or seasonal menu items.

 

Track performance metrics, control wastage, and optimize operational efficiency.

 

Key Qualifications

 

Diploma/Certificate in Food Production, Baking Technology, or related field.

 

Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a commercial bakery or pastry kitchen.

 

Valid Food Handlers Certificate.

 

Knowledge and practical application of HACCP and other food safety standards.

 

Additional training in bakery or pastry production is a strong advantage.
