Job Description

Key Responsibilities    

 

Initiate and propose development of client driven programs,

 

Develop the teaching materials, teach, and mentor both the undergraduate and postgraduate students.

 

Set, moderate and mark examinations for both the undergraduate and postgraduate students

 

Participate in the development and preparation of annual departmental and school plans

 

Supervise educational activities/projects/thesis

 

Assess industrial attachments for both the undergraduate and postgraduate students.

 

Attend and participate in seminars/workshops/conferences in relevant fields

 

Supervise dissertations/theses at the graduate level.

 

Development and Review of curriculum

 

Qualifications and skills    

 

Hold a PhD degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field

 

Hold a Master of Arts Degree in Geography from recognized University

 

At least three (3) years of University teaching as a tutorial fellow

 

A minimum of twenty four Publication points of which at least sixteen should be from refereed journal papers
