Duties and responsibilities
Oversee program development and review process.
Participate in approving all student admissions into various programs in the department.
Receive new students registered in the department, orient and assist them to settle down.
Overseeing all teaching and examination processes to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
Managing the students progression, transition and eventual graduation.
Monitoring class attendance by students and staff, and timely resolutions of students' and staff's concerns.
People management, including management of their performance, work attendance, leave, and discipline.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or as captured in your detailed job description.
Qualification and experience
PhD/Doctorate in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from a recognised/ accredited university.
Master of Science in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics degree or a related area from a recognised/accredited university.
Bachelor of Science in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Information Technology, Data Science and Analytics degree or a relevant field from a recognised/accredited University.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points* of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal articles.
At least three years of teaching experience at the University level.
At least a year of management experience.
Attended and/or contributed to academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
Evidence of being a member of a relevant professional body.
