KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal Accounting & KujaBuild ERP Testing (ADESO Focus)
Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
Support internal audits, donor compliance, and statutory requirements.
Lead and document structured UAT for KujaBuild financial modules, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
Provide actionable feedback to ERP developers and product managers.
Train ADESO finance staff on ERP workflows and adoption best practices.
ERP Subject Matter Expert & Implementation Advisor (External Focus)
Serve as an NGO accounting SME in ERP design sessions and configuration planning.
Participate in ERP implementation projects for external clients, including requirements gathering, testing, go-live, and post-launch support.
Advise on chart of accounts design, donor reporting, compliance requirements, and process automation in ERP systems.
Support the creation and delivery of client training materials and capacity-building programs.
Collaborate with business development teams to tailor ERP demonstrations for prospective NGO clients.
System Support, Optimization & Capacity Building
Provide first-line support for KujaBuild ERP finance modules, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Troubleshoot issues, escalate where needed, and maintain up-to-date system documentation.
Conduct workflow analysis to improve efficiency and usability.
Ensure ERP financial modules align with accounting standards and internal controls.
Support data quality, governance, and reporting best practices.
Mentor staff and cultivate ERP “champions” across the organization.
Planning & Stakeholder Management
Contribute to ERP rollout planning across regions and country offices.
Facilitate communication between finance, technical teams, and leadership.
Participate in prioritization of system enhancements and roadmap planning.
Track implementation progress and report to leadership.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) required.
Minimum 7 years’ progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in NGOs.
Minimum 3 years’ experience leading or contributing significantly to ERP implementation projects.
Demonstrated experience with structured UAT or product testing cycles.
ERP training or certification (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) is a strong advantage.
Strong Excel, reporting, and data reconciliation skills.
Understanding of multi-country, multi-currency accounting environments.
