About the Role
Millar Cameron is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our International Development team in Nairobi, supporting organisations driving impact across climate, sustainability, trade, health, justice, job creation, food and agriculture.
As a Senior Consultant, you’ll lead executive search assignments, manage client relationships, and support the continued growth of our presence in the International Development space.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in executive search, HR or leadership consulting, or management consulting who is looking to work with purpose-led organisations on a truly global scale.
Responsibilities
Client, Account Management & Business Development
Build and maintain trusted relationships with existing clients
Identify opportunities to grow accounts and strengthen partnerships
Act as a strategic advisor, offering insight into trends and talent needs
New Business Origination, targeting new accounts, prospecting, and converting leads into partnerships.
Project Management & Delivery
Lead retained search assignments end-to-end
Coordinate resources, timelines, and delivery teams
Manage candidate sourcing, evaluation, client presentation, interview process, and post-placement support
Internal Contribution & Mentorship
Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing
Support internal improvement projects and promote a collaborative culture
Use internal systems effectively to ensure data accuracy and process integrity
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll likely have:
Good understanding of the International Development sector, including key players, functions, and trends.
Demonstrated experience in executive search/ talent consulting and a track record of successful project delivery.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in client-facing interactions.
Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
Commercial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities and align solutions to client needs and budget.
Proven track record in effective client management and relationship building.
Relevant account management/ client relationship track record.
Preferred Skills
Additional service delivery experience (e.g., consulting, professional services).
Proficiency in French or other relevant languages.
Experience in regions beyond Africa, broadening geographic expertise.
