The Kenya Paediatric Research Consortium (KEPRECON), in partnership with the Nairobi County Department of Health, is recruiting 9 Study Nurses for the IMPROVECare Study—a pioneering project piloting AI-enhanced CTG monitoring and cord blood lactate testing to improve maternal and newborn outcomes in low-resource maternity settings.
Applicants must hold any of the following nursing qualifications:
Kenya Registered Midwife (KRM)
Kenya Registered Nurse Midwife (KRN/M)
Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) with strong maternity experience
Higher Diploma in Midwifery and Reproductive Health
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Additional Requirements:
Valid Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) license
1–3 years of experience in clinical research (including participant recruitment and data collection)
Experience in labour wards or maternal/newborn health programs
Familiarity with REDCap or similar electronic data tools
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights
Key Duties Include:
Participant screening, consenting, CTG monitoring, and sample collection
Conducting cord blood lactate testing
Data entry into REDCap and CRF documentation
Reporting adverse events and ensuring protocol compliance
Working collaboratively with maternity staff and research teams
