The Role
We’re looking for a highly organised, tech-savvy Operations & AI Assistant to help us lay the foundations for Eastrise’s operational backbone. You’ll work directly with the CEO and Country Directors to set up and streamline core functions including finance, HR, policies, administration, and internal operations. A key part of your role will involve exploring how AI tools can support and scale our workflows.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Setup & Support
Help design and document internal workflows, templates, and SOPs
Assist with company registrations, contracts, and compliance across jurisdictions
Support procurement, admin, and digital tools setup
HR & People Ops
Help draft HR policies, onboarding processes, and contractor agreements
Support recruitment administration and tracking systems
Finance & Governance
Support basic financial operations (e.g. invoicing, expense tracking, budgeting frameworks)
Assist in building governance frameworks, reporting templates, and internal documentation
AI Integration
Identify and test AI tools to improve productivity (e.g. Notion AI, ChatGPT, automation tools, Zapier, Airtable, etc.)
Set up and train internal teams on how to use AI tools for admin, research, and content support
Special Projects
Provide support on research, presentations, grant proposals, or partner onboarding as needed
Coordinate with external service providers (lawyers, accountants, designers, etc.)
Who You Are
You have 3+ years of experience in operations, project coordination, HR or admin, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment
You have strong organisational and documentation skills
You’re curious and proactive, not afraid to build new systems or find better ways of working
You have a good understanding of AI productivity tools, and are excited to explore new ways of integrating them
You’re comfortable working remotely and managing up with initiative
Experience working across multiple jurisdictions (especially in Africa or Europe) is a bonus
Excellent written and spoken English is a must; Polish or Swahili is a plus
