Job Description

We are seeking a Backend Developer proficient in Java/Kotlin (ideally with experience in Javalin) , and databases(preferably Postgresql). Candidates with strong backend expertise in frameworks such as Spring Boot or Ktor are welcome, with a preference for familiarity with lightweight microframeworks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Java/Kotlin

 

Design and manage relational databases using PostgreSQL.

 

Implement RESTful APIs with secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.

 

Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.

 

Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

 

Optimize database queries and ensure high performance.

 

Troubleshoot and debug backend issues.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related course.

 

2+ years’ experience with Java/Kotlin for backend development.

 

Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, and optimization.

 

Experience with REST API development and authentication (JWT, OAuth, etc.).

 

Proficiency in version control systems - Git.

 

Familiarity with Docker and cloud deployment (AWS, Digital Ocean).
