Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

The all-volunteer Board of Directors is responsible for the effective governance of the organization and holds the Executive Director accountable for CFK Africa’s mission and vision.

 

Safeguard the mission of the organization.

 

Oversee implementation of the 2025-2030 strategic plan and organizational planning.

 

Ensure strong fiduciary oversight and financial management.

 

Fundraising and resource development.

 

Enhance the organization’s public image.

 

Ensure legal and ethical integrity.

 

Maintain a connection to and presence in the Kibera community.

 

Preferred Skills

 

The ideal candidate will share our passion for empowering youth in slums.

 

Essential expertise includes:

 

5+ years of executive experience in your respective career field.

 

Expertise in digital technology, communication networks, AI, tech innovations, entrepreneurship and/or healthcare.

 

Prior board experience with a CBO, NGO, or private enterprise.

 

Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and policy makers.

 

Strong ties to East Africa.

 

Ability to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring CFK Africa’s long-term sustainability.

 

Alignment with CFK Africa’s vision, mission, and values.

 

 

 

Education: Degree, Diploma
