The role encompasses overseeing financial performance through reporting and analysis, advising the procurement team on purchasing costs, collaborating with the sales team to maintain margins aligned with business plans, managing warehouse inventory, ensuring comprehensive statutory compliance, conducting regular reviews with the Operations team, addressing variances vis-vis the budget with corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to financial statutory requirements and audit processes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working with department heads
Monitor financial performance by measuring and analysing results, initiating corrective actions
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk
Coordinate internal and external audits
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support business strategy
Supervise and mentor finance team members
Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CA/ACCA is a plus)
10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, D365)
Knowledge of industry-specific financial practices
Strong leadership and team development abilities
Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
