We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven wine service supervisor who will primarily be responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of the wine service dispensation with the highest professional standards in line with our vision and mission to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the guests explaining tasting notes and guiding selections.
Gathers guest preferences and tracks these during service
Trains the team on wine knowledge, service, sales and pairing.
Responsible for the controls and maintenance of the inventory inclusive of wine related equipment and accessories.
Assist in selection and procurement of wines, builds wine menus and creates events around wine tasting, wine sales and wine experiences.
Ensures that the wine mise-en-place is thoroughly done and wine fridges are adequately stocked and set at the correct temperatures.
Actively involved in the bar operation by providing friendly and efficient service to the customers.
Ensures proper wine service, including opening, decanting, and serving techniques.
Provides excellent customer service, creating a positive and memorable wine experience.
Handles customer inquiries and requests related to wine selection and service.
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree / diploma in F&B service or any food and beverage course
Minimum of 4 years experience as a bartender or waiter or wine sales position
Exceptional communication skills and great customer service skills
Excellent wine knowledge
Superior food and beverage knowledge
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and cost control procedures
Complete working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
A positive attitude, enthusiastic personality and a winning smile
Should be able to work under minimum supervision
